Joseph P. Pessolano

After serving with the United States Naval Security Group in the Far East, Atty. Pessolano attended and received his Juris Doctor degree from Boston University School of Law in 1975. Atty. Pessolano then became an Examining Attorney with the New York City Department of Investigation and later, Deputy Director of the New York City Bureau of Marshals. He served as an Assistant District Attorney responsible for felony prosecutions with the Broome County, New York District Attorney's Office and the Hampden County, Massachusetts District Attorney's Office. In 1984, he joined the litigation department of Ryan & White, P.C. and in 1991 was a founding partner of Kelly, Pessolano, & Withers P.C. Atty. Pessolano continues to be primarily involved in litigation matters, including personal injury defense, discrimination matters, criminal defense, professional liability defense of physicians; and plaintiffs' personal injury litigation. He is also involved in defending media clients in libel and media access litigation, and has been qualified to defend murder cases pursuant to CPCS appointments. Atty. Pessolano has been awarded Martindale-Hubbell's highest (a/v) attorney rating, and he is admitted to practice before the state and Federal Courts of Massachusetts.
